StudyTriage is an independent educational product. This policy describes how the StudyTriage app and related services handle information. Questions: Support.
2. What this app is
StudyTriage is an educational planner for nursing students (calendar, tasks, clinical hours logging, syllabus parsing helpers, and AI-generated study briefs). It is not a medical device, not medical advice, and not a substitute for your school’s official systems.
3. Information we process
3.1 Data you create in the app

3.2 AI processing (OpenAI)
When you use syllabus parsing or AI briefs, relevant text may be transmitted to the OpenAI API. Processing is subject to OpenAI’s privacy policy and applicable API data usage terms. You can avoid AI features by entering events and tasks manually.
3.3 What we do not collect (current / beta)
- No user accounts or sign-in yet
- No cloud sync of your calendar to our servers yet
- No third-party analytics SDK yet
- No sale of personal data
- No advertising tracking for ad networks
4. How we use information
- Provide calendar, task, clinical logging, and export features
- Parse syllabi and generate optional AI briefs at your request
- Improve reliability when you report bugs (only what you share with us)
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Your choices and control
- Review before import: Parsed syllabus items are shown for your review before they become calendar data.
- Manual entry: You may skip AI parsing entirely.
- Delete: You can delete tasks, events, and clinical entries in the app.
- Export: Clinical hours can be exported as CSV for your own records or school requirements.
6. Data retention
Local data remains until you delete it or remove the app / database. We do not operate a separate cloud retention schedule for user planner data while accounts and cloud sync are not shipped. If you contact support, communications you send may be retained as needed to respond.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures appropriate to a student planner app. Current architecture emphasizes local storage. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Do not store highly sensitive personal health records or credentials you would not trust on your device.
8. Children’s privacy
StudyTriage is intended for nursing students ages 17+ (college-level). It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided data through the app, contact us so we can help address it.
9. Third-party services
- OpenAI — optional AI features, when you choose to use them
- Apple App Store — distribution and related platform privacy practices when the app is listed
Their policies govern their processing of data you send them.
10. Future changes (accounts & cloud)
When accounts, cloud sync, push notifications, or subscriptions launch, this policy will be updated to describe:
- Account email and authentication
- Cloud storage (planned: Supabase or similar)
- Optional push notifications
- Subscription or billing information if offered
Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date on this page and, where appropriate, in-app notice.
11. International users
The app may be used in different regions. AI providers may process data in the United States or other locations as described in their documentation. If you are subject to specific regional privacy rights, contact us with your request.
